A beautiful window was placed in the church in grateful remembrance of George Moore. He is represented as the Good Samaritan ministering to the man who was wounded and distressed. It was, of course, in Wigton that George Moore erected, some 14 years after her death, an elaborate fountain as a memorial to his first wife, Eliza.
